Finding the right kind of help for mental struggles is very important. Many therapeutic or psychological approaches exist in order to offer a different angle for help which may work a little better for resolving different kinds of challenges than others.
Here’s an introduction to my way of working:
What is this
“SOLUTIONS-FOCUSED”
approach?
… and who is it for?

Do you find yourself not necessarily wanting to spend extensive amount of time digging up your past, but want to focus on what needs to happen now for a change to occur?
1 Solutions over problems
Solutions-focused brief therapy or coaching - as the name suggests - focuses on solutions instead of problems.
Instead of extensively analysing the problem, we can learn to mindfully observe thoughts, emotions, and circumstances without judgement which can make a great difference on how strong of a grasp our internal struggles have on us. We’ll discover your internal resources, strengths and insights to find solutions.

Do you find yourself being interested in understanding yourself better and becoming more self sufficient in managing your internal struggles?
2 You are the expert
You have the front row to your own experience. My role is to collaborate with you by aiding the process of self-discovery and problem solving by asking good questions - without imposing answers. We operate on your terms. I’ll aim to provide helpful reflection and if necessary, challenge you appropriately to make the most out of our collaboration.

You don’t necessarily want to commit to a long period of therapy, but would still like to have some effective help?
3 Goal oriented and efficient
Solutions-focused approach emphasises clear, concrete goals and doesn’t necessarily expect that one needs to spend years in therapy to find sufficient improvement.
This is NOT a quick fix approach.
Your mind is a muscle - discovering and reinforcing positive connections and effective practices to improve your mental health takes practice and consistency.
Figuring out what approach works best for you may take some experimentation, but it’s important that you get the type of help that you need.
